First Aid at work with a twist for IVC Evidensia veterinary practices
Utilising the Sandstone mantra Intelligence not information the teams chief instructor Mike spent a few hours gathering intelligence on the types of scenarios that the ambulatory veterinary team are likely to find themselves in.
It turns out that road traffic collisions and managing complex scenarios often involving animals are the primary concern. This means that having the correct standard operating procedures and rapid access to the right sort of first aid equipment is what is most likely to save lives.
Basing the course around the FTACC - E first aid at work course enabled us to deliver an interactive program which also achieved the HSE and QNUK standards for qualification.
The scenarios were all set up on site making things as real as possible for all involved!
Feedback from learners:
“Great course, far more informative for on farm use than standard first aid courses!”
“Excellent course – Very interactive, good pace, great delivery – Very engaging throughout”
