Practical, immersive scenario based training

An Emergency First Aid at Work course must reflect the risks identified in a workplace First Aid risk assessment, as per HSE guidelines. As the Chief Instructor for Sandstone First Aid, it is critical that the content firstly reflects the needs of the organisation I am teaching, and secondly that all learners are competent in the skills taught. With only 8 hours to teach the course, it is even more important that only the skills identified are focussed on. To achieve this, the course tightly focuses on “Emergency First Aid” and is practically based so that we can give the learners as much realistic, hands-on training as possible.

Learners are assessed against their ability to manage an incident, and provide lifesaving first aid, and not the ability to answer a written paper.
