Identify: Leadership Assessment

Identify.

How do you select the future leaders of your business? We often encounter very real issues at senior manager and partner level because employees have been selected for their professional or technical competence, rather than for their leadership skills. Technical competence is important at every level - but it doesn't guarantee good leadership.

Sandstone supports a number of its clients in identifying existing and future leadership potential. We are able to identify key traits and behaviours that are proven to signpost effective leaders of the future.

In high pressure situations people need reassurance and direction. People don't leave bad jobs, they leave bad leaders.

Identifying leaders

The IDENTIFY service has been designed to identify future leaders for the business, and When combined with the LEAD programme to give them the skills they will need - in particular to deal with the complex communication and motivation issues that a leadership role involves.

This programme is NOT delivered by "trainers". The programme is delivered by leaders, who have been in senior business and life-changing, high pressure environments, and who have extracted the key skills and lessons from those activities.

Integration

Team Sandstone members are adept at integrating leadership identification courses into existing programmes as well as creating stand-alone assessment events.

Assessment courses

These take the form of 1/2 day and 1 day workshops that combine a mixture of desk top exercises and practical command tasks. The emphasis is on the identification of leadership traits, behaviours and communication. This type of event can be run at a client's location and integrated into existing internal processes.

Assessment centres

Stand alone bespoke leadership assessment centres are usually run at off-site locations and over 1 or 2 days. They may include an evening social event, which also forms part of the assessment process. Participants are comprehensively tested and each receives a final interview with the assessment team and personal development plan.

DISC profiling

Self awareness forms a critical component for all effective leaders. DISC personality profiling and feedback can be integrated into any of the assessment programmes.
