I’ll call the ambulance…

What do I say - "ISBAR"

The aim of any first aider is to preserve life until professional help arrives. So many times, on first aid courses lip service is paid to calling the ambulance. Have you actually thought about doing this for real?

- Where are you specifically?

- Which entrance or access point does the ambulance need to arrive at?

- Do the crew need access codes or escorting?

- Are there barriers on your premises?

Next time you do first aid training carry out the drill thoroughly and see how quickly the ambulance could find and access your location. You will save valuable minutes which might just save a life.
