Learning to lead under pressure...

Much of modern leadership training is theoretical and model based. This type of training of course has its place but does it work when the pressure comes on?

Leaders come to the fore when the pressure is on. Confident staff members loose confidence and look to the leadership team for reassurance and direction. Leaders are forced to make the least bad decision and have difficult conversations.

Through using scenario based activities pressure can be created, managed and harnessed in order that decision making and communication can be trained under pressure. This creates muscle memory and a confidence that will prove invaluable when the situation is real.

You can study leadership in a classroom. It's more comfortable, less challenging and easier to sign off. All of the boxes are ticked! You almost certainly won'y invoke behavioural change at the one moment you need it the most.
