Do you react and communicate differently when you are under pressure? How does your team respond in a crisis?

The theory of leadership and decision-making is relatively straightforward, and easy to study in a classroom. The problem is that this type of study doesn’t help you in a high pressure situation. The lessons haven’t been hard-wired and no 'muscle memory' created, and your team members haven’t had the chance to work with each other when the pressure is on. It’s vital to learn how to enable resilience in each other, to avoid careless communication and to work with intelligence not information. Enquire about our courses today!

The Course

This unique session uses simulated emergency situations in which the team members have to work together and make life-or-death decisions as a team

1. How to stop a life- threatening bleed.

Severe bleeding can kill within minutes. Knowing how to apply pressure, dress a wound or use a tourniquet can keep someone alive until help arrives.

2. How to do CPR and use a defibrillator

CPR keeps oxygen flowing when the heart stops. Acting quickly with the right technique greatly increases the chance of survival.

3. How to control hypothermia

Controlling hypothermia by first aid is crucial to prevent further heat loss, protect vital organs, and reduce the risk of life-threatening complications.

The focus is on leadership, communication and decision making but participants will also receive a Save a Life Certificate.

This is a half-day programme delivered by former special military operations and/or critical care medical team members who have made life-or-death decisions in real situations.

In addition to receiving a practical hard-hitting leadership session participants will also receive a save a life certificate and be invited to join the Save a Life partnership.

The course can be delivered at Sandstone Communications' location near Stirling, at your office or as part of an off-site event.

The cost of this session is £2,500.00 + VAT and expenses.
